Our Ministries
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:3-6)
At Zion & Immanuel Lutheran Church, we offer a range of ministries to serve our congregations. Many of our ministries have been a part of long standing traditions at both congregations. They are designed to provide support, guidance, and a sense of community for individuals and families, while providing opportunities for young and old to grow in the Word of God and as a disciple of Christ.

Sunday School
Our Sunday school ministry is dedicated to providing a nurturing and engaging environment for children to learn about the love of Jesus. Through fun activities, educational programs, and special events, we aim to instill strong Christian values and a sense of belonging in the hearts of our youngest members.

Mid-week confirmation/education
Providing you children time to be in the Word of God is so important. That's why Zion and Immanuel have a combined mid-week education hour on Wednesday nights, where kids from elementary age through 8th grade enjoy time of fellowship and learning. Location of classes varies year-by-year, as Zion and Immanuel take turns hosting classes. Non-members are welcomed to join us for mid-week and confirmation classes!

Ladies aid
Ladies aid is a long standing ministry at Zion Lutheran. They meet once a month for topic study and for a business meeting. They provide "Portals of Prayer" for the congregation members, tie quilts for World Relief, among many other things. In the past they have served at farm sales, pastor's conferences, wedding and anniversary receptions, Tobias Alumni banquets, and actively continue to serve at Funeral lunches for congregational members. They play an active role in remembering and visiting Zion servicemen as well as the shut-ins in the congregation. Please see the calendar for their next meeting!
Pastoral Support
Our pastoral support ministry offers care, guidance, and counseling to individuals and families facing various challenges and transitions. Our pastor is dedicated to providing Scriptural guidance, spiritual and emotional support, all while walking alongside you in times of joy, sorrow, and uncertainty.

Lutheran Women's Missionary League: LWML
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is an official auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Since 1942, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.
Our 2025 LWML Mission projects: Mission Central, Dakota Boys and Girls ranch, Lamp ministry, Orphan Grain Train, Haitian children at Trinity Hope, Mission Aviation fellowship
Volunteer Groups
Because of our ministry setting, volunteering is a vital part of our church community, and we encourage members to get involved in various activities that happen throughout the year. Whether it's serving at events, helping to teach Sunday school or midweek classes, helping those in need, or contributing to community projects, there are numerous opportunities for individuals to make a positive impact through volunteering.
